Telemaque's Odyssey: A Lecture on Denmark Vesey, Slavery, and Conspiracy

Historian Michael P. Johnson will give a public lecture on the African origins of Telemaque/Denmark Vesey through the Danish Slave Trade. Telemaque/Vesey is best known as the leader of a potentially massive slave conspiracy in Charleston in 1822.
Dr. Johnson is an expert in the history of the nineteenth-century United States and the history of slavery.
