Dugan (M.A., 2025) Brings Home the Accolades
Tue, 05/27/2025 - 4:24pmCongratulations to Caroline Dugan (M.A., Public History concentration, 2025), who capped an outstanding graduate career in the department with a series of Spring 2025 honors.
Dugan and her work earned the following: The Allen Family Award for Public History, presented annually to two students, one undergraduate and one graduate, who have done outstanding work in the field of Public History; the Charles B. Allen Memorial Award for Service to Phi Alpha Theta and the Department of History, Geography, & Philosophy, presented annually to the undergraduate or graduate student in History who most exemplifies the mission of Phi Alpha Theta, National History Honor Society, and provides outstanding service to the department; the Jefferson Caffery Research Award, which recognizes outstanding scholarly research using primary source materials held in the Special Collections areas of Dupré Library; and the Richard G. Neiheisel Phi Beta Kappa Graduate Award for the highest academic accomplishments in a classical arts and science master’s degree at UL.
The UL Lafayette Alumni Association’s also recognized Dugan as a finalist for the Spring 2025 Outstanding Master's Graduate Award. She was one of only six finalists—out of a total of 285 master's graduates—from across the university. The finalists for this award represent the highest achievement in leadership, scholarship, service, and research across all UL graduate programs.
