Alumnus Named 2025 Louisiana History Teacher of the Year!

Congratulations to our alumnus, Rex Jones Jr. (M.A. in History, 2020), who has been named the 2025 Louisiana History Teacher of the Year by the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History! Jones, who teaches history at the Episcopal School of Acadiana is currently a Ph.D. student in the Department of History at Louisiana State University. Read more about his award here.
Jones completed his UL master's thesis, "Two Quiet Revolutions and the Transformation of American Health Care," which won the 2020 Neitzel Family Endowed Graduate Student Award in Louisiana Studies, under the direction of Dr. Michael Martin.
