Alumnus Nabs Neitzel Award in Louisiana Studies

Congratulations to our alumnus Caroline Dugan (MA, 2025) for being named this year’s graduate student winner of the Neitzel Family Endowed Award in Louisiana Studies. Dugan adds the award to an already extensive collection of recognitions for her public history capstone project, “Dr. Jean ‘Shewolf' Boudreaux: Documenting Lesbian and Feminist Activist History in Lafayette, Louisiana, and Beyond from the 1960s to 2010s.”

The Neitzel Family Endowed Awards in Louisiana Studies recognize outstanding research and mentorship in fields related to Louisiana Studies, including but not limited to history, folklore, languages, music, geography, anthropology, archaeology, literature, architecture, and the visual arts. They awards are administered by the Center for Louisiana Studies.
