Jesse Saloom
Jesse Saloom has been teaching philosophy at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette since 2015. He received his M.Sc. from the London School of Economics and Political Science in Philosophy and Public Policy. He has experience working in non-governmental organizations in Europe and is currently a Research Associate at the Center for Human-Environmental Research (CHER).
While a philosopher by trade, Jesse’s academic interests intersect with psychology and economics. He is currently working on an experiment regarding dual-motivated positions.
Jesse takes a broad and practical approach to moral philosophy, focusing on living “the good life.” Outside of the classroom, Jesse spreads this with at-risk youths, recovering addicts, and individuals with a criminal history through a combination of philosophy and music/play therapy.
