Requirements For The Philosophy Minor

To earn a Minor in Philosophy, you need to complete at least 18 credit hours of Philosophy (PHIL) courses while meeting the following requirements:

  • At least 6 hours must be 300 and/or 400 level PHIL courses, and
  • The following PHIL courses do NOT count towards the Philosophy Minor:
    • PHIL 231 (Topics in World Religions)
    • PHIL 234 (Introduction to the Old Testament)
    • PHIL 235 (Introduction to the New Testament
  • And that is it!
